British Sky Broadcasting Group, more commonly known as BSkyB, is to create over 500 jobs in the north west of England in the next few months. BSkyB, which provides broadband, phone and TV services to over 9.7 million customers in Britain, has weathered the recession rather well, entering 2010 at a rather good position.
UK councils are currently planning to cut thousands of jobs as the effects of the recession continue to cut, so the 550 jobs that BSkyB’s new Stockport-based customer service contact centre will create should be extremely welcome.
