The European Union are beginning to plan for their ‘i2015’ proposal for the digital economy which should be finalised in 2010. The ICT proposals will be mainly concerned with the protection of users’ rights and the formation of a single market for services online according to a letter by Information Society Commissioner Viviane Reding. As well as this, Reding also wants to see an increase in the development of green IT and high speed broadband – both things that seem to already be on their way to fruition.
