Verizon has made a very bold decision and updated Storm 2 BlackBerries so that the only search engine people can use is Bing, the new Microsoft search engine. This comes after Verizon and Microsoft signed a 5 year advertising and search deal for around $500 million (approx. £311.4 million). Verizon has changed the default browser to Bing on a couple of other smartphones too – but customers don’t seem to be overjoyed to say the least. With complaints about taking away the freedom of choice ringing in their ears, maybe Verizon will soon do a swift step back on Bing.
