When Nokia announced that it was releasing a newly overhauled Ovi Maps, for free, it had no idea just how popular the application would be. Nokia has just announced that in the first week of being released, Ovi Maps has reached a staggering 1.5 million downloads!
Ovi Maps allows users to download location data and maps via Wi-Fi, a mobile network or a PC – it then allows the users to store entire maps on their phone, so even if you have no internet connection, you cans till fund your way! According to Nokia, Italy, China, the UK, Germany and Spain are the top five countries for downloading Ovi Maps. Say goodbye to SatNavs!
