Koryolink, the North Korean Subsidiary of Orascom Telecom in Egypt, is a mobile operator with a plan. Amidst a decent first year of gaining 100,000 subscribers in North Korea, Koryolink now has aims to gain ‘millions’ of subscribers over the coming five years – doable, when you consider the country has a population of around 24 million.

North Korea is undergoing numerous expansion plans at the minute in order to bring about more business interest in the hopes of some day soon becoming a major global player.
