The largest internet portal operator in Japan, Yahoo Japan, has announced that it will be teeming up with the Google search engine rather than Microsoft – as most would be expecting from a company that is part-owned by one of Microsoft’s partners.
Yahoo Japan will use the Yahoo brand still as well as using Google’s popular search and advertisement system. By joining forces with Google, Yahoo Japan hopes to remain at the number one spot in the domestic market. However, Microsoft, with whom Yahoo has a yen year deal, can’t be too happy about it.
