The Federal Network Agency of Germany and the European Commission have reached an agreement regarding the mobile spectrum auction that is to be held in Germany in the first half of 2010. The Federal Network Agency and the European Commission were at loggerheads because it seemed as though Germany was trying to skew the auction proceedings in favour of certain mobile providers. Now though, the air has been cleared and the auction will go ahead, most likely with every company fighting over the coveted 800 megahertz frequency. The German Federal Network Agency has promised the European Commission to assess the competitive mobile industry three months after the auction and correct any issues with competition.
